Professional Gardener: April 1st-November 15th

General Description
Earth Kind Gardens is looking for motivated individuals to work on our Maintenance and Landscaping Crew.

Tasks include: pruning, weeding, caring for seasonal containers, dead-heading, planting, mulching, watering, and completing small landscape projects and general maintenance.

Preference will be given to individuals that have garden and container design experience and working knowledge of herbaceous and small woody plants.

Successful candidates will have these skills and/or the willingness and eagerness to learn. The individual should have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, have a clean driving record and be comfortable driving trucks and operating power equipment.

Wage: $12-$22/hour on a 40 hour work week, depending on qualification. Advancement opportunities available.

Requirements
Preference will be given to individuals with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant gardening experience.  Also, the ability to lift 40lbs repeatedly throughout the day (some days, not every day), and a positive attitude when required to work in inclement weather conditions is a plus; as is an MNLA certification or having a Minnesota Pesticide Applicators License.

Lead Gardener: April 1st-November 15th

General Description

Earth Kind Gardens is looking for a motivated individual to help lead our maintenance and landscaping crews.  This is a full-time field position, with the opportunity for advancement.

General maintenance tasks include pruning; weeding; caring for seasonal containers; dead-heading; planting annual flowers, perennials, small trees, and shrubs; mulching; watering; and completing other miscellaneous landscape tasks.

Requirements

The position requires at least one year of relevant leadership experience, and 2-3 years of field experience. He or she must also have the ability to follow instructions and manage a team to complete the specified tasks in the time allotted. MNLA certification is a plus. Applicants must possess or be willing to obtain a Minnesota Pesticide Applicators License. The skill and ability to work in inclement weather conditions is a must, as well as having a clean driving record.
